DUOS family products are configured through our free Tekon Configurator software, available for download from the product pages, the "Software" tab or the Download Center. Along with the instructions in the installation guide, you can configure your device for immediate application.

DUOS family transmitters are only capable of communicating with product family gateways.

You can consult the DUOS product family installation guide on the product page or in the Download Center.

No. Transmitters cannot be adapted to record other variables beside those stipulated for each one.

The DUOS product array can be applied in a wide range of business areas. Among the most common are Agro-Industry, HVAC, Data Centers, Process Industry, Cold Chain, Building Automation, Renewable Energy, Food Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Retail, etc.

Configuring a communication period tailored to your needs is a strategy that can prevent the batteries installed in the solutions from running out quickly.

The more frequent the communication period, the faster you need to change the batteries.

IP stands for Ingress Protection. The code is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to obtain the right protection standard for a device.

The first number means the level of protection against external particles such as dust and lint. The higher the number, the better the protection against small particles of material. This rating ranges from 0 (no protection) to 6 (dust protection).

The second number is the degree of protection against water infiltration. Again, the higher the number, the better. This rating ranges from 0 (without any water protection) to 8 (immersion protection over 1 meter deep).

The IP67 offers the highest level of dust and lint protection (represented by the first digit 6) and immersion protection of up to 1 meter of fresh water for 30 minutes (represented by the second digit 7).

The application of this network typology in the PLUS product family has as its main advantages the protection it offers to the communication process and its demultiplication of channels. Its self-forming, self-healing and selp-optimizing properties give the network autonomy allowing it to have a dynamic mapping of the paths information follows between different points.

If the network detects a barrier on a particular route, it has the ability to look for an alternative path and redirect the information.

You can read our article about maintenance where you will find a short explanation of how this network typology works.

Analog outputs that receive signals from different sensors return values between 0 to 20 mA or between 0 and 10 V.

PLUS transmitters allow connection to sensors that measure variables such as conductivity, ph, vibration, humidity, flow, level, pressure and temperature.

You can check to the installation support guide for the PLUS product family on the product page or in the Download Center. If you continue to have difficulty installing the products correctly, you can contact your distributor or Tekon technical support team.

The WGW410 gateway allows to connect 16 THW401 temperature transmitters.

    THW401 transmitter is capable of operating with PT100, PT500, PT1000 type sensors and E, J, K, N, R, S and T thermocouples.

You can check to the ONE product family installation support guide on the product page or in the Download Center.

2-wire RTDs are the least accurate of the three types as there is no way to eliminate or calculate wire resistance. This can create some reading uncertainty so 2-wire RTDs are often used where accuracy is not a priority.

3-wire RTDs are the most commonly used RTD sensors, assuming all three wires are the same. The third wire is used to calculate the average wire resistance across the circuit. This makes 3-wire RTDs more accurate than the previous alternative.

4-wire RTDs are used in applications where a higher accuracy rate is required. In a 4-wire RTD sensor, the resistance on each wire can be measured and eliminated. The 4-wire circuit works by using the first two wires to power the circuit, while the third and fourth wires record resistance on each wire, compensating for differences in wire resistance.

Thermocouples are sensors used to measure temperature in several processes. Thermocouples consist in two wire legs made of different metals that are fixed together at one end, creating a joint. When this junction registers a temperature change, a voltage is created that can be measured and referenced back to the temperature.

    Existing thermocouple sensor types are B, E, J, K, N, R, S, and T.

RTD's are temperature sensors that have a resistor. Resistance changes with temperature. RTD's are one of the most accurate temperature sensors available on the market. In addition to offering very good accuracy, they offer excellent stability and high noise immunity. This means that RTD sensors are suitable for applications in process environments and industrial automation, especially around motors, generators and other high voltage equipment.

The most common sensors in this category are the PT100, PT500 and PT1000.

Currently, only the THM501 transmitter uses Modbus communication protocol.

The most suitable environments and where the application of this type of solutions brings the most advantages to the user are the industrial environments due to their manufacturing nature and where the signal propagation of these formats is less susceptible to interference.

Each product has a specific installation guide that you can find on the product page or in the Download Center.
