R&D Project: Tekon Electronics and Portugal 2030

Our R&D team developed a project to monitor the biowaste treatment process under the Compete 2030 program.

Tekon Electronics continues to shape the future through the projects it develops.

Our Research and Development team (Tekon is a proprietary brand of Bresimar Automação) joined the Innovation and Digital Transition Program under Compete 2030 – a Portugal 2030 program co-financed by the European Union.

This program aims to support innovation, as well as energy transition and skills for competitiveness, with direct involvement in the digitalization, research, and innovation of SMEs.

It also plays an important role in contributing to resilience and adaptation to climate change.

The project in question, developed by Bresimar Automação, is BIoT – an IoT solution for monitoring the biowaste treatment process.

More specifically, BIoT will develop a monitoring solution for the composting process, contributing to the valorization of biowaste treatment and adding value towards a sustainable society.

The solution will be unique on the market, enabling the monitoring of composting quality indicators (temperature, oxygen, and humidity), while also establishing communication with the cloud and storing and analyzing data on an IoT platform.

This is another key step that reflects Tekon Electronics' strong commitment to R&D.
