New software version of the Duos IoT Gateway

The Duos IoT Gateway, belongs to the DUOS wireless product family, dedicated to the acquisition of variables such as temperature, CO2, humidity and digital input. This device was developed to offer added connectivity to the DUOS family of products. Through the DUOS IoT Gateway, data from DUOS family transmitters can be treated in the following ways:

• Sent to the cloud and configured to be displayed on the Tekon IoT Platform;
• Accessed via RESTful API;
• Accessed locally through the Modbus TCP/IP protocol;

 

The new version of the DUOS IoT Gateway software allow to implement improvements in the graphical interface of the web server provided for configuring the gateway connection. Among the improvements made, we highlight those that have greater influence and add functionality to the device:

• Configurable IP (dynamic or static);
• Configurable proxy server (http and https);
• Configurable time server;
• Performance and responsiveness improvements;

 

Configurable IP

The connection of the DUOS IoT Gateway to the network, through the Ethernet port, allows it to assume an IP address within the network. The configuration of this IP address can be done in two ways:

• manually, where the gateway has a fixed IP, assigned by the user;
• automatically, where the user enables the DHCP functionality and the server assigns an IP to the gateway.

 

Configurable proxy server

With the latest software version, the user can configure a proxy server on the DUOS IoT Gateway web interface. The proxy server is configured to make the network connection more secure.

 

Configurable time server

The Duos IoT Gateway offers the possibility to configure a time server, commonly known as the Network Time Protocol. These servers make it possible to synchronize networked devices.

In this update, the user can configure and test the server connection and thus verify that the connection is made correctly.

 

Performance and responsiveness improvements

The performance and responsiveness of devices is always relevant to users. Whenever there is a margin, the necessary changes are made so that the performance be the most satisfactory.
